Germany
Open daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Founded by the Habsburgs and expanded to incomparable splendor, the Vienna Kunst- und Schatzkammer is one of the most magnificent collections of its kind in the world. Among its highlights are the stupendous sculptures by the Baroque sculptor Leonhard Kern (1588-1662). He maintained his highly productive, style-forming workshop in Schwäbisch Hall and supplied the princely Kunstkammer of Europe from there.
The exhibition brings together for the first time the outstanding Viennese Kunstkammer and Würth Kern collection in order to shed light on the life and work of this exceptional artist and to illustrate his significant position in art history.
