The Kunst- and Wunderkammer at Trausnitz Castle recalls the long tradition of princely cabinets of curiosities installed by the Dukes of Bavaria. Duke Albrecht V founded the most important Kunstkammer in Munich. With originally more than 6000 objects it competed with the collection of the Grand Duke Ferdinand II at Ambras Castle and the Green Vault in Dresden. A fine selection of Kunstkammer objects is presented at Trausnitz Castle in Landshut now.
